Ermintrude Maine-Anjou

Overview

Ermintrude “Ermie” Maine‑Anjou Slayer, formerly known simply as “Cow Girl,” is an immigrant from the Goblin Slayer universe. Initially introduced as Widdle Frunkut’s new fiancée, she soon became Harris Travers’ loyal, long‑time personal assistant and has since become a notable supporting character in the Waldoverse. She is married to the enigmatic adventurer known as Goblin Slayer.

Physical Description

Ermintrude is an attractive young woman in her twenties, distinguished by her rose‑colored eyes and short red hair. She is particularly well‑known for her considerably large chest.

Background and Career

Originally known as “Cow Girl,” Ermintrude was brought into the Waldoverse from the Goblin Slayer universe by Ed. There, she was a farmer and childhood friend of Goblin Slayer. She made her Waldoverse debut in Widdlington as Waldo’s new fiancée after his marriage to Mayuri Shiina ended. However, Harris Travers quickly noticed her and hired her as the new receptionist at Travers, Travers, and Shiina. Since then, she has remained a loyal, patient, and unwavering assistant to Travers as he moved from one position to another.

Ermintrude’s dedication and adaptability eventually led her into a significant political role. Having served as Travers’ secretary throughout his time as Mayor and later as Emperor, she followed him again when he became Editor‑in‑Chief of The Waldopolis Chronicle. There, she not only resumed her duties as his personal secretary but also developed an interest in writing and journalism, ultimately becoming the Chronicle’s chief political correspondent.

Part of the arrangement for giving her a chance in journalism, however, was Travers’ insistence that she continue appearing as one of the Chronicle’s most popular topless Page 3 models.

When Travers became Waldonia’s first President, Ermintrude once again followed him—this time into the Waldhouse—serving as the Travers Administration’s Press Secretary.

Since leaving the Waldhouse alongside Travers, she has, for the first time, stepped away from his service to raise a family. Now working from home while caring for her child, Kyle Boy Slayer, with Goblin Slayer, she continues to write part‑time for the Waldopolis Chronicle and has not officially retired from Page 3.

Personality

Ermintrude is calm, good‑natured, and endlessly patient. Despite Travers’ frequent exploitation of her figure—often treating her as mere “eye candy”—she remains committed and supportive. She gets along well with nearly everyone and rarely speaks ill of anyone, though she can be somewhat naive. Her striking attractiveness and air of innocent obliviousness often make her the subject of subtle mockery or condescension from those who assume she’s all looks and no brains. She tends to miss sarcasm or patronising undertones, accepting such comments with sincere gratitude.

She is also fond of cheese and enjoys cooking and writing in her spare time.

Notable Relationships

• Goblin Slayer: A silver‑ranked adventurer focused almost exclusively on hunting goblins, Goblin Slayer is now Ermintrude’s husband. After arriving in the Waldoverse (with Ed’s help) to find his childhood friend, he was shocked to discover she was employed by a goblin—Harris Travers—and had previously been engaged to Widdle Frunkut. Given his genocidal hatred of goblins in his own realm, this was difficult for him to accept, but he eventually came to terms with it. Following the turbulent “Nilbog Arc” in Widdlington, he married Ermintrude and now serves as head of Queen Mayuri’s royal guard.


• Harris Travers: Her long‑time employer. Despite his sleazy antics, Ermintrude sees him as a good goblin who has given her opportunities she deeply appreciates. In return, she offers him unwavering loyalty.


• Widdle Frunkut: Ermintrude was briefly engaged to Waldo. During their engagement, she brought a touch of charm to his (literal) dumpster of a home. However, Waldo lost interest around the time she became Travers’ receptionist and soon went off to find a new fiancée.


• Mayuri Shiina: As a former employer at Travers, Travers, and Shiina, Queen Mayuri shares much in common with Ermintrude, leading to a strong friendship. Travers and Mayuri even allowed Ermintrude and Goblin Slayer to live with them for a time.


• Master Devlin: A friend, co‑worker, and supportive figure in her life.
