Vincent Raymond

Vincent Raymond is a long‑time lackey of Harris Travers and a recurring character in the Waldoverse. A stereotypical Cockney geezer, he served chiefly as Travers’ bodyguard throughout Travers’ career. He also had a surprising, albeit brief, political career as the former Rt Hon MP for Wreckton and as Secretary for Homeland Security in the Travers Administration.

Physical Description

Vincent Raymond has a lean, wiry build, standing on the shorter side but carrying an intimidating presence. His short, greying hair is balding on top, and he sports a rough, stubbly beard that complements his hardman persona. His piercing gaze and no-nonsense expression make him seem even more formidable, despite his size. He dresses in simple, dark suits, adding to his professional yet intimidating aura. His presence is understated but undeniable, a man who commands respect through demeanor alone.

Personality

Vincent Raymond is a man of few words, preferring action over conversation. He exudes a sense of quiet menace, and his aloof, reserved nature makes him difficult to read. His past as a bodyguard has shaped his no-nonsense, tough-guy attitude, making him a reliable and intimidating figure.

Career

Originally from East London, Raymond spent years as the personal security for Harris Travers, working with him from his days as a sleazy lawyer through to his brief reign as emperor. After Travers lost power, Raymond and his colleagues moved on to other work, with Raymond providing security for Reform Party candidates during the subsequent election.

Unexpectedly, Raymond himself was elected as an MP for Wreckton, later serving as Minister of Security in Prime Minister Kyle Konrad’s coalition government. He subsequently joined the Travers Administration as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Now out of government, Raymond has returned to working directly for Travers. He currently serves as head of security at the TNT club, overseeing protection for Travers, the premises, and its more unusual clientele.
