Fiona Travers

Overview:

Fiona Angela Travers (née Malone) is the vampiric (literally) estranged wife of Harris Travers' and the former First Lady of Waldonia. She is a recurring character in The Waldoverse.

Appearance:

Fiona is a curvy, attractive Caucasian woman in her 40s with pale skin and vivid red hair. As a human, she often came across as frumpy and downtrodden, especially during her political days. As a vampire, however, the supernatural glamour transforms her into a far more alluring figure, and she is usually seen dressed in black.

Background and Early Life:

Fiona hails from the Wexley neighbourhood in northeast Widdlington, the only child of Stephen and Kathy Malone from Liverpool. Raised in a working-class household, she was a single mother to her teenage daughter, Tina. In her youth, she worked in various jobs including waitress, barmaid, light modelling, and café work.

Political Career:

Outraged by the Master’s Council's heavy-handed response to a protest in which her father was injured (The Battle of Waldomere), Fiona joined the Reform Widdlington party. She was elected MP for Wexley in 2023. During a coalition with the Justice Party, she served briefly as Minister of Bureaucratic Oversight and Administrative Constraint (BOAC), but lost her position and seat after a scandal involving missing funds.

Vampiric Career and Relationship with Travers:

Following her fall from politics and public shaming, Fiona joined an escort agency and became Travers’ regular call girl under the alias “Felicia.” She was subsequently turned into a vampire by Victor Alaric and joined VAMP, initially tasked with swaying Travers to the vampire cause. After witnessing the vampires’ destructive influence, she exposed their plot and realigned with her human side.

She later rekindled her romance with Travers, marrying him and becoming the first (and so far only) First Lady of Waldonia. Since Travers’ resignation, the marriage has become estranged, and they live separately. Fiona now hosts the anti-establishment podcast Fiona Malone Bites Back and currently is a cast member on The Real Housewives of Waverly Hills.

Personality:

Fiona is a tough, working-class Scouser with a dry wit and a sharp edge. She does not suffer fools gladly but has a kind heart and cares deeply for family and community. She despises injustice, though her pragmatism has occasionally led her to act against her principles in pursuit of what she believes is the “greater good.” As a reformed vampire, she continues to wrestle with her morality and residual bloodlust.

• Kyle Konrad: As former Prime Minister, she resented him after losing her seat as an MP. As Vice President of Waldonia under the Travers Administration, her paranoia led her to view him as a threat to her husband's position.
